15-18 Years Old
Competitive 16U & 18U Boys
This program is for boys born between 2009 and 2012 who want to train for advanced competitive water polo. Our 16U and 18U athletes train to compete in the National Championship League (NCL). This program includes four weekly practices, one optional high-performance practice (at no additional cost), and several National Capital Water Polo League (NCWPL) games. New players are welcome throughout the year.
Note: Special arrangements can be made with the coach to accommodate family/athlete constraints.
The program runs from September to May.
Practice Options:
- Sportsplex – Mondays, 8:15pm to 10pm
- Sportsplex – Tuesdays, 8pm to 10pm
- University of Ottawa – Thursdays, 8pm to 9:30pm
- University of Ottawa – Saturdays, 4pm to 6pm
- Sportsplex Shallow End – Sundays, 7:30pm to 9pm (high performance practice)
- Coaches may offer additional practice options.

What is included: All practices, coaching, equipment (balls, caps, nets), THPP sessions.
What is extra: Team uniform is mandatory. Participation in Tournaments, NCL. A small NCWPL league entry fee applies.

- Sportsplex Shallow End – Sundays, 7:30pm to 9pm (high performance practice)

Rec House League
House league is a COED recreational program for born between 2009 and 2013. Have fun while learning basic skills, tactics and rules of the game. Emphasis is on fitness, fun and sportsmanship. Players get a weekly 90-minute practice. No water polo experience is necessary, but participants should be comfortable deep-end swimmers. New players are welcome throughout the year.
The program normally runs from September to June. Due to the closure of the Carleton University pool, this program will only go until the Holidays. As soon as we secure suitable pool time, we will open a second session of the program.
Weekly Rec House League Games:
- Sundays, Carleton University pool, 8pm to 9:30pm

Pick-Up Games
Pick-up Games is a COED recreational program for athletes born in 2010 or earlier. Participants meet once or twice a week to play a pick-up game of recreational water polo. No formal training provided: participants warm-up, are divided into 2 equal-strength teams and scrimmage. Emphasis is on fun and sportsmanship. No water polo experience is necessary, but participants should be comfortable deep-end swimmers. New players are welcome throughout the year.
The program runs from September to May.
Weekly Pick-up Games:
- Mondays, Richcraft pool – 9pm to 10pm
- Wednesdays, Richcraft pool – 9pm to 10pm
